The newly opened branch of Caffe Nero in Llandudno is proving to be quite the success. It feels a little bit small inside (although seating is spread across two floors) but the staff are friendly and the coffee/snacks are certainly good. Worth a visit.

Whenever I've been in Rhyl lately, I make a point of popping in to the Amber Coffee House at 85 High Street. In the past, it's been difficult to find somewhere pleasant to enjoy a good coffee & snack but this busy little cafe (that only seems to have popped up in the last few months) delivers on all counts.

The food selection consists mainly of snacks, with nothing more substantial than an eclectic range of sandwiches and Paninis. However, for a lunchtime snack, it's more than enough and the food is always of great quality. Next time you're in Rhyl, do give it a try.

Coffee Illy, Conwy

Probably my favourite place to call in for a coffee in Conwy is Coffee Illy. Tucked down the side street that links the High Street to the Quay (at the side of the Civic Hall), this small coffee ship is a treasure - friendly staff, pleasant surroundings, good service...and a great cup of coffee. Food selection is limited but they do Paninis, Cakes & Sandwiches, so fine if you're just looking for a snack.

When walking around Conwy, it's easy to overlook this place, but you'll be missing out on a treat if you do.

Coffee At Sydneys

Sydneys, 7 Clonmel Street, Llandudno

I'm always pleased to discover somewhere new to go for a good coffee and decided to pop into Coffee @ Sydneys at 10 Clonmel Street, Llandudno the other day to see what they were like.

I had expected it to be a tiny coffee shop but was surprised to see that there were additional seating areas in both the rear of the cafe and on the First Floor (and of course, some outdoor tables for those warmer days). Decoration was also interesting, with a variety of hand painted 'words of wisdom' adorning the walls. Service was fast and pleasant, coffee was good and the prices were reasonable. Do pop in and give it a try if you're nearby. In case you've forgotten, Clonmel Street is the one linking Mostyn Street with the Promenade, having Greenwoods and Gregorys Jewellers on the Mostyn Street corners.
